Terms
Short version: you see your site before you pay for it, you can have your money back until it goes live, and anything you own stays yours. The rest of this page is the same thing said carefully.

Who you are dealing with
Paged is run by Courtright Collective. If you need a person, email hello@pagedlive.com and you will get one.
What you get
You answer a questionnaire and we build you a one-page website from it. It gets published at its own web address and you get a private link that reopens your answers. Change them, save, and the site rebuilds itself at the same address. There is no editor to learn and no design decisions to make, which is the point.
We host it, keep it online, and keep it loading quickly. We do not write your copy for you, take your photographs, run your ads, or manage your email.
What it costs
Your site is free to build and stays live for free on pagedlive.com. To make it fully yours (your own domain, no Paged credit, and the option of more pages and the extras) it is $499 once and $25 a month. If prices go up, they go up for new customers only. Your monthly price does not change while you stay subscribed.
You pay after your site is built and live, not before. Building it and looking at it costs nothing.
If you never pay
Your site stays live at its pagedlive.com address for as long as you want it. It does not expire and there is no countdown. A free site is one page, carries a small Paged credit in the footer, and does not include your own domain or the extras.
If a payment fails
Nothing changes for 7 days. Your site, your own domain and your extras keep working and nobody visiting can tell. We will let you know, and the payment is retried.
If it still has not gone through after those 7 days, your own domain and your extras switch off. Your site does not: it moves back to its pagedlive.com address and stays live there. Nothing you wrote or uploaded is deleted. Pay and your own domain and extras come back.
If you cancel
Your site stays live at its pagedlive.com address as a free site, for as long as you want it, the same as if you had never paid. The only way we would ever take back an address is if a site has gone twelve months with nobody logging in and nobody visiting it. Both, not either.
Refunds
Before your site goes live: full refund, no questions, no forms. Just ask.
After it goes live: the $499 build fee is not refundable. The work it paid for is finished and you have the site. The monthly is a different thing. Cancel it whenever you like and it stops at the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund part of a month, and we do not bill you for another one.
If you leave
Any domain name you bought and pointed at your site belongs to you. If you leave, we release it and help you point it somewhere else. There is no fee for that and no argument about it. You are not renting your own name from us.
Ask any time and we will send you the finished HTML and your images so you can host them anywhere.
What you are responsible for
The words and pictures you put in are yours, and you are telling us you have the right to use them. Please do not use Paged for anything illegal, anything designed to deceive people, or anything that would get us in trouble with Cloudflare. If a site is doing one of those things we will take it down and refund what you have paid.
What we are responsible for
Keeping your site online, and being honest with you when something breaks. We build on Cloudflare, which is about as reliable as the web gets, but no host is up every second of every year. We do not promise a specific uptime percentage, and we are not liable for business you believe you lost while a site was down. What we will do is fix it and tell you what happened.
Changing these terms
If we change anything that affects what you pay or what happens to your site, we will email you before it takes effect. Carrying on paying after that is how you accept the change. If you would rather not, cancel and the old terms apply until your last paid period ends.
Something here unclear or unfair? Tell us: hello@pagedlive.com. We would rather fix the wording than hide behind it.
